The current integrated library system (ILS) is servicing both library customers and internal library workflows. The current ILS has an outdated architecture and is lacking modern services. Renewing the ILS with a state-of-the-art solution will improve current services and enable exploring the delivery of new services.

From 6 October until 1 November 2010 a questionnaire was sent out to gather information about the diffusion and use of smart phones and laptop among the entire student population of Maastricht University.

Camtasia Studio offers several possibilities. It can for instance be used as an integrated recording tool for PowerPoint presentations, with or without a camera attached to the laptop or PC.
Project Mobile Learning @ UM

In April the University has initiated a project focusing on Mobile Learning. Coordinated by the university library -also taking care of infrastructure and support- 6 pilots within several faculties were defined.
